We believe and love the Bible as the Word of God, trust it to be true, inerrant, reliable, and to have authority over everything in our lives. Central to the message of the Scriptures is the bad news that we are by nature those who seek to indulge ourselves rather than live in submission to the God who made us. As a result, we make a mess of our lives (often learning that truth only after many hard lessons). The good news, while we can never undo our sin or measure up to God’s standard ourselves, is that Jesus Christ came to save us from our sin by dying in our place on the cross. He not only saves us from sin’s effects when we die, He breaks the bondage that sin has over us now and enables us to live joyfully as we were intended to in relationship with Him. This salvation from sin and its effects is given freely by God’s grace through faith in Christ alone.
